We will present you a range of expert speakers including keynotes Mr. Pekka Timonen, Cultural Director, City of Helsinki and Director, World Design Capital Helsinki 2012, Mr Bas Boorsma, Director, Internet Business Solutions group, Cisco Europe, Dr Rufus Pollock, Co-Founder, Open Knowledge Foundation and Mead Fellow in Economics, Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge and Mr Juha Hulkkonen, Business Development Executive, IBM Finland. Seminar moderator is Mr. Jarmo Eskelinen, CEO, Forum Virium Helsinki.

Pekka Timonen, Cultural Director, City of Helsinki and Director, World Design Capital Helsinki 2012
Pekka Timonen, the Cultural Director of City of Helsinki, is currently leading the preparation work for World Design Capital 2012 Helsinki. He has previously worked as the Director of Finnagora, the Finnish center for culture, science and economics in Hungary and Central East Europe. He has an extensive background in the fields of cultural policy, creative industries and Finnish journalism.

Bas Boorsma, Director, Internet Business Solutions Group, Cisco Europe
Bas Boorsma currently serves as Director to Cisco's Internet Business Solutions Group and as head of the Connected Urban Development (CUD) program, Cisco's global commitment made under the Clinton Global Initiative. Under CUD, Bas has been responsible for the development of a network of smart work centers in the Netherlands and the co-creation of the Amsterdam Ecomap.

Rufus Pollock, Co-Founder, Open Knowledge Foundation and Mead Fellow in Economics, Emmanuel College, University of Cambridge
Dr Rufus Pollock helped found the Open Knowledge Foundation in 2004 and remains one of its Directors. He is currently also the Mead Fellow in Economics at Emmanuel College Cambridge working on innovation and intellectual property policy. He has worked extensively, as a scholar, coder and activist on the technological, social and legal issues surrounding open knowledge.

Juha Hulkkonen, Business Development Executive, IBM Finland
Juha Hulkkonen is an IBM Business Development Executive with a focus on realizing IBM's Smarter Planet vision. Juha believes in open collaboration between industry, research and public services as the key to success. He is a member of several collaborative forums where these meet, including Tivit Oy's Co-operative Traffic program, State Research Center of Finland Services and Logistics business unit's Advisory Board and BestServ industry collaboration steering group. Juha is a member of IBM's Smart Cities Strategy and Technical communities.
